Welcome to pinnaclevex, we will give training’s on Base SAS and Real-time Clinical SAS. In this demo, we will cover the basics of SAS programming, Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) and how it is used in the clinical industry with Clinical SAS.

First, let’s talk about Base SAS. SAS stands for Statistical Analysis System and is a software suite that provides a wide range of statistical and data analysis tools. Base SAS is the foundation of the SAS software and includes tools for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.

Some of the common tasks that can be performed using SAS include:
Importing and exporting data from various sources
Cleaning and transforming data
Performing statistical analysis such as t-tests and regression
Creating tables, listings and graphs

Now, let’s talk about SDTM. The SDTM is a data standard used by the pharmaceutical industry to submit clinical trial data to regulatory agencies such as the FDA. It consists of a set of predefined data structures and definitions that are used to organize and tabulate clinical trial data.

Some common tasks that can be performed using SDTM include:
Mapping clinical trial data to the SDTM standard
Creating datasets and variables that conform to the SDTM standard
Validating and QCing data using P21 or compare to ensure it meets the SDTM standard

Now let’s talk about Clinical SAS. Clinical SAS is a specialized field that uses SAS software to analyze data from clinical trials and research studies in the healthcare industry. Clinical SAS programmers work with large datasets and use SAS to generate reports, tables, and figures for regulatory submissions to FDA, and also research publications.

Some common tasks that Clinical SAS programmers perform in the context of SDTM include:
Importing and exporting data from various sources and mapping it to the SDTM standard
Transforming and cleaning data to meet the SDTM standard
Generating SDTM datasets and defining derived variables
Creating tables, listings, and graphs to summarize study results
Generating reports and documents for regulatory submissions
